Industrial training institutes (ITI) and industrial training centers (ITC) are post-secondary schools in India constituted under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Union Government, to provide training in various trades.
The founder chairman of Guru Krupa samsthe® Shri. Shrishailgouda .V. Patil in 1998 decided to open Computer trade in Craftsmen Training Scheme. Govt. of Karnataka, Directorate of Employment & Training, Bangalore and Govt. of India, NCVT New Delhi permanently affiliated and approved for starting COPA trade from the academic year Aug-1999 and in the year 2001 considering the students demand for FITTER and ELECTRICIAN trade we have started FITTER trade from Aug 2002 and ELECTRICIAN trade from Aug-2005. Now our ITI giving training for 9 units out of three trades.

India has the demographic advantage of the youngest workforce in the world; it can be the Human Resource Capital of the world by appropriately skilling its youth and converting this advantage into a dividend. To reap the demographic dividend, the role of training institutions is very critical. The training institutions have to be adequately equipped to suitably skill, reskill & upskill the workforce for the world of work.
Skill development through Vocational Education and Training (VET) is necessary to utilize this demographic dividend effectively for the economic growth of the nation (Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. VET programs play two crucial roles in India - providing training to youth leaving school and supplying skilled manpower for sustainable development
Indian VET institutes are increasingly required to provide skilled manpower for the growing needs of the nation. The ITIs are the most prominent group of VET institutes in India. The government of India started the ITIs in 1950 to accelerate the process of industrialization in the Country.
ITIs have long been the backbone of the skill ecosystem, set up to ensure a steady flow of skilled personnel to the industry. With the advent of Industry 4.0, we are living through a fundamental transformation in the way we work. The curriculum and infrastructure of ITIs have to keep pace with the changing needs of the industry.
ITIs have been set up with the objective to ensure a steady flow of skilled personnel to the public and private sectors, and reducing unemployment amongst the educated youth by equipping them with the required skills, education, and discipline. ITIs in India are responsible for delivering vocational training of one or two-year skill courses through the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS).
